Southeast Planning Area

BCPS's Southeast planning area feeds into five high schools including Sollers Point Technical. Sollers is a unique half-day only school, where students attend for their technical program and supportive STEM course, but take all additional required graduation courses at their home school (Sparrows Point, Chesapeake, Dundalk, or Patapsco High). All enrollment data follows students at their home school. Sollers offers 10 technical programs for their students: Academy of Health Professions, PLTW: Biomedical Science (Project Lead the Way), Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Baking & Pastry Arts, Automotive Service Technology, Medium-Heavy Duty Truck Technician, Building & Construction, IT: Network/Cybersecurity, and IT: Artificial Intelligence/Computer Science.

The total number of enrolled students in Southeast schools is the lowest of all five BCPS planning areas but it also contains the largest percentage of "underprivileged communities." Over 70% of students enrolled in 2025 were economically disadvantaged.
